Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you use GigGenius.

Last Updated: October 2026

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using GigGenius, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

If you use GigGenius on behalf of a band, project, or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms for that group.

Description of GigGenius

GigGenius is a business management app for performers, musicians, and gig organizers. It provides tools to organize projects and lineups, gigs and schedules, venues, people and connections, availability, songs and setlists, gear, expenses, earnings, mileage, and related reports.

GigGenius also includes optional tools such as Event Watch notifications, promotional post generation, invoice emails, and Google Calendar sync. Features may differ by plan.

Account Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate account information and keep it current.
  • Keep your login credentials secure and do not share your account.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use GigGenius. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement.
  • Tell us promptly through the support form if you believe your account has been compromised.

User Content and Information

You keep ownership of the information and content you add to GigGenius, such as your profile details, gigs, venues, notes, images, songs, and setlists. You grant GigGenius permission to store, display, and process that content as needed to run the features you use and to show it to the people you share projects and gigs with.

You are responsible for the content you add, including making sure you have the right to add information about other people and that your content does not violate anyone else's rights.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse GigGenius. For example, you may not attempt to access accounts or records that are not yours, interfere with the operation of the service, upload malicious files, use the app to harass or impersonate others, or use the app for unlawful purposes.

We may suspend or limit access where we believe these Terms are being violated.

Gig and Scheduling Information

Gigs, dates, times, rates, and payment statuses are entered by users and shared with the people connected to those gigs. GigGenius displays and calculates what users have entered.

You should confirm important scheduling details directly with the venue, client, or other participants before relying on them.

Availability Information

Availability results depend on the information other users have entered and on the sharing settings each person has chosen. Someone marked as available may still have a conflict that has not been entered in GigGenius, and a blank calendar does not guarantee availability.

Use availability information as a helpful planning tool and confirm with the people involved before committing to a booking.

People and Connections

Connection requests and project membership let you share information with other people. Sending a connection request does not give you access to another person's account, and accepting one only shares the information that the app and their settings allow.

Profiles and projects that a user chooses to make public may appear in directories visible to other users and visitors.

Venue and Event Information

Venue details, addresses, capacities, and contact information are entered by users. Distances and mileage are calculated from addresses and may be approximate.

Event Watch uses sports schedule and team information from third-party sources to help you spot potential scheduling conflicts. It is an awareness tool, not a booking or scheduling authority.

Songs and Music Content

GigGenius provides tools to organize songs, setlists, keys, notes, and chart links. GigGenius does not claim ownership of any song, lyric, recording, or other music content created by someone else, and does not grant you rights to perform or distribute any song.

Song and catalog details may come from information you enter or from publicly available reference information. You are responsible for the song information you add, for obtaining any necessary licenses or permissions, and for complying with the rules of the venues and events where you perform.

Financial Tracking Information

GigGenius provides organizational and tracking tools for gig fees, payment status, expenses, mileage, and reports. It is not accounting software, a tax preparation service, a bank, a payment processor, or a financial institution, and it does not provide accounting, tax, legal, investment, or financial advice.

Figures, totals, mileage estimates, and reports are based on the information you enter and are for your own organization. You are responsible for verifying amounts, keeping your own records, and meeting your tax and reporting obligations.

Third-Party Information and Services

Some GigGenius features display or rely on information from third-party sources, integrations, APIs, public information, or other users. This includes sports schedule data, address lookups, optional calendar sync, and AI-generated promotional text.

Third-party information may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate, and third-party services may change or become unavailable. GigGenius does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or continued availability of third-party information. You should verify important gig, event, sports, venue, availability, and financial information when it matters.

Subscription Plans and Premium Features

GigGenius offers free and paid plans. Each plan includes the features and usage limits described when you sign up or on the plans page. Features and limits may change over time.

Some features may be limited, hidden, or unavailable on lower plans. If a plan limit is reached, affected items may be hidden or archived until the limit is resolved.

Payments and Renewals

Paid subscriptions are purchased through Base44 Payments, powered by Wix, using a hosted checkout page. Payment and billing details are entered on that checkout page and processed by the payment provider.

Paid plans renew automatically at the interval you selected — monthly or annually — until cancelled. Prices are shown before you complete checkout. Where a free trial applies, the renewal terms shown at checkout apply after the trial ends.

If you download or purchase GigGenius through a third-party app store, that store's own payment and subscription terms also apply.

Cancellations

You can cancel your paid plan at any time by contacting us through the support form. Cancelling stops future renewal charges. Your plan remains available for the period you have already paid for unless the payment provider's process states otherwise.

Deleting your account also cancels any active paid subscription immediately, so you are not billed again.

We do not control your bank's or payment provider's processing times, and refunds are handled according to the payment provider's policies and applicable law.

Intellectual Property

GigGenius, including its name, logo, interface, design, and software, is owned by the GigGenius operator and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the app except as allowed by law.

These Terms do not transfer any ownership of GigGenius to you.

Service Availability

We work to keep GigGenius available and reliable, but the service is provided on an as-available basis. Access may be interrupted by maintenance, updates, hosting issues, or circumstances outside our control.

We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Disclaimer of Warranties

GigGenius is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information in the app will be accurate or complete.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the GigGenius operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost bookings, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of or inability to use GigGenius.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to GigGenius will be limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Account Suspension or Termination

You may delete your account from your Profile page at any time. Deletion cancels any active subscription, erases your personal records, and deactivates your login, while preserving shared records that other members rely on, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated, if required by law, or if necessary to protect the service or other users. Where practical, we will let you know why.

Changes to the Service

GigGenius continues to develop. Features may be added, changed, or discontinued, and plan offerings may be updated. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes that affect paid features.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of GigGenius after an update means the updated Terms apply.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws where you live.

Contact Information

Questions about these Terms can be emailed to support@giggeniusapp.com, or sent through the GigGenius support form. For billing or subscription questions, choose the "Billing/Subscription" subject.
